Enjoy the warmth and colours of exotic Kerala, one of India’s most preferred regions. Backwaters, wildlife, Ayurvedic treatments and spice plantations – Kerala has been blessed with it all! Explore a tranquil world set amidst marvellous mangrove forest, coconut trees and green paddy field culture:
Day 1: Arrival in Bhubaneswar – Puri
We arrive in Bhubaneswar and meet our representative and proceed to visit the Temples in Bhubaneswar. Visit Lingaraj Temple (Non-Hindus are not allowed), Devi Padahara, Parsurameswara Temple, Mukteswara Temple, and Rajarani Temple. Drive to Puri (60 kilometers/1 ½ hrs drive). En route photo stop at Pipili (Applique work village). Arrive at Puri and check into the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Evening enjoy at Puri beach / visit the local market. We’ll spend the night at our hotel.
After breakfast, we’ll visit Mattanchery Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue (closed on Fridays and Jewish holidays), and St. Francis Church (closed on Sundays during mass). We’ll spend the rest of the day exploring Fort Cochin at our leisure and return for the night at the hotel.
Later, visit Satpada, Chilika Lake (50 km/1 ½ hr drive). En- route visit Alarnath Temple. After reaching Chilika Lake take a boat (on a direct payment basis) to see the Irawadi Dolphins. Enjoy the day at Chilka Lake (India’s biggest inland lake spread over 1,100 square kilometers). Evening return to Puri, spend some time at Golden Sea Beach and beach market. We’ll spend the night at our hotel.
Following breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Konark (40 Kms/01 hr). En route visit Ramchandi temple & Chandrabhaga Beach. After reaching Konark, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site “The Sun Temple’, Konark Interpretation Centre. Afternoon drive to Bhubaneshwar (60 Kms / 2 Hrs). En route visit Dhauli (the peace pagoda), Chausath (64) Yogini temple. On arrival in Bhubaneswar check in at the hotel. Evening free time for shopping.
We’ll spend the night at our hotel.
After our final breakfast, check out and visit Udayagiri & Khandagiri Caves (the oldest rock-cut caves, the caves are reminiscent of the influence of Buddhism and Jainism), Tribal Museum (Closed On Monday). Later we’ll be transferred to Bhubaneswar airport for our departure. We’ll take with us the memories of a wonderful journey through Bhubaneswar and Puri.
