Enjoy the warmth and colours of exotic Kerala, one of India’s most preferred regions. Backwaters, wildlife, Ayurvedic treatments and spice plantations – Kerala has been blessed with it all! Explore a tranquil world set amidst marvellous mangrove forest, coconut trees and green paddy field culture:
Day 1: Arrival in Cochin
We arrive in Cochin and meet our representative, who will take us to our hotel. We’ll spend the rest of the day exploring Fort Cochin at our leisure and return for the night at the hotel. We’ll spend the night at our hotel.
After breakfast, we drive to Alleppey. Upon arrival Alleppey jetty embarks the houseboat. While cruising, you will observe & experience the villagers’ lifestyle. Sail through the exotic backwaters on the traditional rice boats to view the exotic backwaters and scenic beauty of Kerala. Lunch & dinner on board houseboat. We’ll spend the night on board houseboat.
Enjoy buffet breakfast on houseboat. Disembark the Houseboat at Alleppey Jetty and we travel to Thekkady. We check in to our hotel and visit Periyar National Park – A real paradise of elephants and a tour of Spice plantation- where you will be enticed by not only the aroma of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, pepper and nutmeg but will also get to know how they are grown, harvested and processed. Evening witness a Kalaripayatu Performance at a local theatre. We’ll spend the night at the hotel.
Following breakfast, we check out and head to Munnar. Upon arrival, we check in to our hotel. We’ll spend the night at the hotel.
Following breakfast, explore Eravikulam National Park, Tea Gardens, Mattupetty Dam, Devikulam and Kundale Lake. We’ll spend the night at the hotel.
Following breakfast, we check out and head to Cochin. Upon arrival, we check in to our hotel. Later we’ll visit Mattanchery Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue (closed on Fridays and Jewish holidays), and St. Francis Church (closed on Sundays during mass). In the evening, we’ll enjoy a Kathakali dance performance, known for its elaborate makeup and costumes. We’ll spend the night at the hotel.
Departure After our final breakfast, we’ll be transferred to Cochin airport for our departure. We’ll take with us the memories of a wonderful journey through Kerala.
