Itinerary

Drive from City Beautiful to Manali, “the abode of Manu”. The drive itself is an experience. Pass through the Atal Tunnel to the valley of Lahul & Spiti. Visit the erstwhile summer capital of India, Shimla, during the British period, and enjoy its colonial charm. Enjoy a short ride on the Shimla / Kalka Toy Train, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Arrive Chandigarh. You will be met by your driver as you exit the arrival terminal building and transferred to your hotel for 1 night stay. Check-in time is 1400 hours.

Drive to Manali

Drive to Manali (300 kms / 8-9 hrs). You will be driving from an altitude of 321 meters to 2050 meters and crossing Satluj river and driving alongside River Beas after Pandoh Dam. Most of the drive is scenic especially after you cross Pandoh dam. Enjoy your long drive and make photo stops on the way. Stay in Manali for 2 nights.

Manali – Atal Tunnel -Solang valley - Manali

Today drive though Atal Tunnel to Lahul valley and on the way back stop at Solang Nala, a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund known for view of glaciers and snow -capped mountains and peaks which has fine ski slopes. Later visit Vashista Kund, Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, and Tibetan Monasteries.

Drive to Shimla

Drive to Shimla (240 kms/7 to 8 hrs). On arrival in Shimla, check into your hotel for a stay of 2 nights. Rest of the day is at leisure to unwind and relax.

Today morning enjoy a short ride on Shmla Kalka Toy Train. Rest of the day is free to walk on Mall and Ridge or take a guided walking tour of colonial Shimla. Overnight stay at hotel.

Drive back to Chandigarh (150 Kms / 3-4 hrs) to connect train or flight for your onward journey.

Tour Details:

  • 05 Night accommodation on a double or twin sharing basis.
  • 05 Breakfast & 05 Dinner in hotel restaurant (Majority of hotels provide buffet meals and have fixed timings and are served in hotel restaurant or coffee shop).
  • All transfers, sightseeing and excursions will be by air-conditioned small car for 2 Pax, Innova or similar for 4-6 Pax, Tempo Traveller, or mini-bus for 8- 10 Pax as per the tour itinerary (non-air-conditioned services in hills).
  • All road taxes, parking fees, fuel charges, and interstate taxes.
  • Short Toy train ride
  • GST 5%.
  • Airfare & Insurance.
  • Expenses of a personal nature, like tipping, laundry, and telephone/fax calls, alcoholic beverages, camera/video camera fee at monuments, medical expenses, airport departure tax, etc.

  • Transportation shall be provided as per the itinerary and will not be at disposal (No transport on the days of Leisure)
  • Activity ticket / Monument entrance fees (approx. cost is INR 250, per person, Children below 5 years no fee)

  • Any extra expenditure incurred due to force majeure, such as natural calamities, roadblocks, strikes, delays due to rallies, traffic jams, etc.

Meals:

  • All breakfasts are included from the start to the end of your tour as outlined in the itinerary.
  • For lunches, we prefer to take you to authentic and high-quality local restaurants where you can pay directly for your meal.
  • Meals are generally served in restaurants, though packed meals may be provided occasionally for convenience.
  • At religious sites, only vegetarian meals will be offered. At other locations, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options will be available.

Travel Requirements:

  • All guests must adhere to travel requirements such as RT-PCR tests, vaccination certificates, web check-in, and other formalities as mandated by the state or country. Any associated costs are the responsibility of the guests.

Airline Information:

  • For our group tours, Immersive Trips selects the most accommodating airlines for smooth travel.
  • Group tours are booked in economy class. If you prefer Premium Economy, Business Class, or First Class, we can arrange this for an additional fee, subject to availability.
  • Refreshments and meals are provided according to the airline’s policy. We recommend bringing some dry snacks for added comfort.

Transport Details:

  • We use small cars, Tempo Travellers, or coaches for transfers, sightseeing, and intercity travel, depending on the group size.
  • In coaches, seats 1 & 2 are reserved for the Immersive Tour Manager and Guides.
  • Small cars typically accommodate 4-6 guests, with seating assigned on a rotating basis.
  • Private vehicles or upgrades can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to availability.

Sightseeing & Experiences:

  • Attractions may occasionally be closed without prior notice due to current conditions. If access is restricted, we will try to visit alternative sites or provide a refund for entry fees where possible.
  • Hotel Information: We choose comfortable 3-star hotels with positive guest feedback. You are welcome to review these hotels before confirming your tour.
