The Shimla–Manali journey is a beautiful transition from city landscapes to the serenity of the Himalayas. Starting from Chandigarh, the route gradually climbs into the hills, offering scenic drives, river views, and refreshing mountain air.

Arrive in Shimla, once the summer capital during the British era, known for its colonial charm, lively promenades, and panoramic viewpoints. Experience the iconic Shimla–Kalka Toy Train ride, passing through tunnels and lush green hills.

Continue your journey to Manali, a destination loved for its snow-capped peaks, cultural landmarks, and peaceful surroundings. From temples nestled in forests to vibrant local markets and adventure spots, this trip offers a perfect mix of relaxation and exploration.
Day 1 - 15 April 2026
Arrive Chandigarh
Your journey with Immersive Trips begins today!

  • Guests travelling from Kochi or Trivandrum on the scheduled group departure are requested to reach the airport at least two hours before departure.
  • Guests arriving directly in Chandigarh will be greeted by the Tour Manager, who will assist with transfers and coordination. Guests arriving from other cities will be guided by the Immersive Trips Advisor for a smooth arrival experience.

Upon arrival, proceed to your hotel for check-in. Standard check-in time is 12:00 PM, and rooms are usually ready by 2:00 PM.
Later, explore Chandigarh, India’s first planned city, known for its clean layout and modern design. Visit its key attractions and enjoy a relaxed evening.

Day 2 - 16 April 2026
Chandigarh to Manali (2 Nights)

Begin your drive towards Manali (approx. 300 km / 8–9 hrs). As you leave the plains behind, the journey transforms into a scenic mountain drive with rivers and valleys accompanying you along the way.
Pass along the Beas River and enjoy the changing landscapes, with opportunities to stop for refreshments and photographs.

Day 3 - 17 April 2026
Manali

Today, explore the highlights of Manali. Visit the famous Hidimba Devi Temple, set amidst tall cedar trees, offering a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere.
Continue to the Tibetan Monastery, known for its calm surroundings and beautiful architecture. Later, drive towards Rohtang Road Snow Point, where you can enjoy snow activities and scenic views (subject to permissions).
In the evening, enjoy free time followed by a bonfire and a traditional Himachali folk performance.

Please Note: Access to Snow Point depends on weather and local permissions. Warm clothing can be rented locally.

Manali to Shimla (2 Nights)

After breakfast, proceed towards Shimla (approx. 240 km / 7–8 hrs). Drive through the scenic Kullu Valley.
En route, visit a Kullu Shawl Factory to witness traditional weaving techniques and local craftsmanship.
Later, explore Vashisht Kund, Manu Temple, and local Tibetan monasteries, gaining insighinto the spiritual and cultural traditions of the region.
Arrive in Shimla by evening and check into your hotel.

Tour Details:

  • 06 Nights accommodation on twin / double sharing basis.
  • 06 Breakfast, 06 lunches & 06 Dinner in hotel restaurant, or outside restaurants (Majority of hotels provide buffet meals and have fixed timings and are served in hotel restaurant or coffee shop).
  • All transfers, sightseeing and excursions will be by air-conditioned small car for 2 Pax, Innova or similar for 4-6 Pax, Tempo Traveller, or mini-bus for 8- 10 Pax as per the tour itinerary (non-air-conditioned services in hills).
  • All road taxes, parking fees, fuel charges, and interstate taxes.
  • Short Toy train ride

Meals:

  • All breakfasts are included from the start to the end of your tour as outlined in the itinerary.
  • For lunches, we prefer to take you to authentic and high-quality local restaurants where you can pay directly for your meal.
  • Meals are generally served in restaurants, though packed meals may be provided occasionally for convenience.
  • At religious sites, only vegetarian meals will be offered. At other locations, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options will be available.

  • All guests must adhere to travel requirements such as RT-PCR tests, vaccination certificates, web check-in, and other formalities as mandated by the state or country. Any associated costs are the responsibility of the guests.

Airline Information:

  • For our group tours, Immersive Trips selects the most accommodating airlines for smooth travel.
  • Group tours are booked in economy class. If you prefer Premium Economy, Business Class, or First Class, we can arrange this for an additional fee, subject to availability.
  • Refreshments and meals are provided according to the airline’s policy. We recommend bringing some dry snacks for added comfort.

Transport Details:

  • We use small cars, Tempo Travellers, or coaches for transfers, sightseeing, and intercity travel, depending on the group size.
  • In coaches, seats 1 & 2 are reserved for the Immersive Tour Manager and Guides.
  • Small cars typically accommodate 4-6 guests, with seating assigned on a rotating basis.
  • Private vehicles or upgrades can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to availability.

Sightseeing & Experiences:

  • Attractions may occasionally be closed without prior notice due to current conditions. If access is restricted, we will try to visit alternative sites or provide a refund for entry fees where possible.
  • Hotel Information: We choose comfortable 3-star hotels with positive guest feedback. You are welcome to review these hotels before confirming your tour.

Room Sharing:
