Itinerary

Embark on a cultural and spiritual journey through Bhubaneswar and Puri, exploring ancient temples, historic sites, and scenic landscapes. This 5-day itinerary takes you from the magnificent temples of Bhubaneswar to the pristine beaches of Puri, the UNESCO World Heritage Sun Temple at Konark, and the serene Chilika Lake. Immerse yourself in Odisha’s rich heritage, vibrant local markets, and natural beauty, all while enjoying comfortable accommodations and seamless travel.
Day 1: Arrival in Bhubaneswar – Puri
We arrive in Bhubaneswar and meet our representative and proceed to visit the Temples in Bhubaneswar. Visit Lingaraj Temple (Non-Hindus are not allowed), Devi Padahara, Parsurameswara Temple, Mukteswara Temple, and Rajarani Temple. Drive to Puri (60 kilometers/1 ½ hrs drive). En route photo stop at Pipili (Applique work village). Arrive at Puri and check into the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Evening enjoy at Puri beach / visit the local market. We’ll spend the night at our hotel.
After breakfast, we’ll visit Mattanchery Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue (closed on Fridays and Jewish holidays), and St. Francis Church (closed on Sundays during mass). We’ll spend the rest of the day exploring Fort Cochin at our leisure and return for the night at the hotel.
Later, visit Satpada, Chilika Lake (50 km/1 ½ hr drive). En- route visit Alarnath Temple. After reaching Chilika Lake take a boat (on a direct payment basis) to see the Irawadi Dolphins. Enjoy the day at Chilika Lake (India’s biggest inland lake spread over 1,100 square kilometers). Evening return to Puri, spend some time at Golden Sea Beach and beach market. We’ll spend the night at our hotel.
Following breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Konark (40 Kms/01 hr). En route visit Ramchandi temple & Chandrabhaga Beach. After reaching Konark, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site “The Sun Temple’, Konark Interpretation Centre. Afternoon drive to Bhubaneshwar (60 Kms / 2 Hrs). En route visit Dhauli (the peace pagoda), Chausath (64) Yogini temple. On arrival in Bhubaneswar check in at the hotel. Evening free time for shopping.
After breakfast visit Nandankanan Zoo (Closed On Monday). Explore the Zoo in a battery-operated vehicle/safari bus (on a direct payment basis). Return to your hotel.
Evening visit Sri Ram Temple, Ekamra Haat, or free time for shopping. We’ll spend the night at our hotel.
After our final breakfast, check out and visit Udayagiri & Khandagiri Caves (the oldest rock-cut caves, the caves are reminiscent of the influence of Buddhism and Jainism), Tribal Museum (Closed On Monday). Later we’ll be transferred to Bhubaneswar airport for our departure. We’ll take with us the memories of a wonderful journey through Bhubaneswar and Puri.

Tour Details

  • 04 Nights accommodation on twin / double sharing basis.
  • Accommodation will be on Bed + Breakfast basis at all the hotels.
  • Accommodation will be on Room + All Meals” basis on board houseboat.
  • Meals will be in the coffee shop of the hotels.
  • All transfers, sightseeing tours and excursions as mentioned in the itinerary will be provided by an air-conditioned vehicle.
  • Permits / entrance fees at all monuments and sightseeing places as described in the itinerary.
  • English-speaking representative at arrival/departure airport transfers in Kochi & Trivandrum.
  • Travel Insurance for guests up to 70 years of age.
  • At present all applicable taxes including 5% GST.
  • Any Airfare.
  • Visa fees (for international tourists) & Insurance fees.
  • Expense of personal nature like tipping, laundry, and telephone / fax calls, alcoholic, beverages, camera / video camera fee at monuments, medical expenses, airport departure tax etc..
  • Breakfast ordered in the room.
  • Meals other than those specified in the itinerary.
  • Monument entrance fees to all the monuments listed in the above itinerary (Approx.monument entrance fee: ₹ 450 per person & child below 7 years are free)
  • Services of English-speaking guides during sightseeing.
  • Transportation shall be provided as per the itinerary and will not be at disposal. Therefore, No transport on the days of Leisure.
  • Any other services not mentioned under ‘Your package includes.

Meals:

  • All breakfasts are included from the start to the end of your tour as outlined in the itinerary.
  • For lunches, we prefer to take you to authentic and high-quality local restaurants where you can pay directly for your meal.
  • Meals are generally served in restaurants, though packed meals may be provided occasionally for convenience.
  • At religious sites, only vegetarian meals will be offered. At other locations, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options will be available.

Travel Requirements:

  • All guests must adhere to travel requirements such as RT-PCR tests, vaccination certificates, web check-in, and other formalities as mandated by the state or country. Any associated costs are the responsibility of the guests.

Airline Information:

  • For our group tours, Immersive Trips selects the most accommodating airlines for smooth travel.
  • Group tours are booked in economy class. If you prefer Premium Economy, Business Class, or First Class, we can arrange this for an additional fee, subject to availability.
  • Refreshments and meals are provided according to the airline’s policy. We recommend bringing some dry snacks for added comfort.

Transport Details:

  • We use small cars, Tempo Travellers, or coaches for transfers, sightseeing, and intercity travel, depending on the group size.
  • In coaches, seats 1 & 2 are reserved for the Immersive Tour Manager and Guides.
  • Small cars typically accommodate 4-6 guests, with seating assigned on a rotating basis.
  • Private vehicles or upgrades can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to availability.

Sightseeing & Experiences:

  • Attractions may occasionally be closed without prior notice due to current conditions. If access is restricted, we will try to visit alternative sites or provide a refund for entry fees where possible.
  • Hotel Information: We choose comfortable 3-star hotels with positive guest feedback. You are welcome to review these hotels before confirming your tour.
