Itinerary

This journey takes you deep into the lush landscapes of Northeast India — from Meghalaya’s dramatic waterfalls and caves to the wildlife-rich plains of Assam and the sacred valleys of Arunachal Pradesh. Explore living root bridges, pristine rivers, museums and ancient monasteries. Witness one-horned rhinos on safari, cross high-altitude passes and immerse yourself in a unique blend of Buddhist heritage, tribal culture and natural beauty before ending in historic Guwahati.
Day 01: Guwahati- Shillong (110 Kms/3 hrs)
Upon arrival at Guwahati airport, you will be met and drive to Shillong. Enroute visit Umiam Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. (Boat ride in Umian Lake on direct payment basis)
On arrival in Shillong, check into your hotel for a stay of 3 nights.
Overnight stay at a 3-star hotel Best Holiday Inn or similar — Shillong. (Dinner)
After an early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world enroute visit Elephant falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views. Later, visit the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai. You can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai. Evening return to Shillong.

After an early breakfast drive to Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock. Later visit Dawki to enjoy boating at the crystal clear water of Umngot River (Boat ride in Umngot river on direct payment basis) and also visit Bangladesh Border.

After breakfast drive to Kaziranga National Park, the home of “One Horned Rhinoceros”. Enroute visit Don Bosco Museum which is one of the best maintained museums in India and which showcases the rich indigenous culture of North Eastern states. On arrival in Kaziranga, check into your hotel for a stay of 2 nights. Rest of the day is at leisure to unwind and relax in the comforts of your hotel.
Overnight stay at a 3-star hotel D Courtyard Resort or similar — Kaziranga.

Morning at leisure or enjoy Elephant safari in any one zone of Kaziranga National Park (on direct payment basis and subject to operation). Apart from the Rhino, other species found are Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants and if you are lucky then tiger also. It is also home to pelicans, storks and darters as there are a number of water bodies inside the Park.
Return to the resort for breakfast.
Later visit Kaziranga National Orchid & biodiversity park.
In the afternoon enjoy jeep safari through the National Park. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

After breakfast leave for Dirang via Bhalukpong and Bomdila, en route visit Tipi Orchid Research Centre. On arrival in Dirang, check into your hotel for a stay of 1 night.

After breakfast visit the typical Monpa village at Dirang. After viewing the beautiful valley of Dirang overlooking the river and inhabited by colorful tribal, proceed towards the Sela Pass (13703 ft) spend some lovely times by the paradise lake, later drive to Tawang. On arrival in Tawang, check into your hotel for a stay of 2 nights. Overnight in Tawang.

After breakfast sightseeing tour of Tawang which includes exploring Tawang Monastery, (founded by Mera Lama Lodre Gyaltso during 17th century A.D. a contemporary of the fifth Dalai Lama), Tawang War Memorial, Urgelling Gompa – birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama (Subject to operation) and Giant Buddha Statue.

Early morning, drive to Jang to get a breath-taking view of waterfalls. Pay homage at the Jashwant Garh Indo Chinese War Memorial and downhill drive to Bomdila via Dirang. On arrival in Bomdila, check into your hotel for a stay of 1 night.
Overnight stay at a 3-star hotel Tsepal Yangjom or similar — Bomdila.

After breakfast visit Bomdila Monastery and drive to Guwahati. On arrival in Guwahati, check into your hotel for a stay of 1 night. If time permit, in the evening enjoy the boat ride in Brahmaputra River (Boat ride in Brahmaputra River on direct payment basis & subject to operation).
Overnight stay at a 3-star hotel Livin Hub or similar — Guwahati.

Morning visit the famous Kamakhya Temple
After breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to Guwahati airport to international airport to board flight for your onward journey.

Tour Details

  • 10 Nights accommodation on twin / double sharing basis.
  • Accommodation will be on a "Bed + Breakfast + Dinner” basis at all hotels.
  • Meals will be at the hotel's coffee shop.
  • All transfers, sightseeing tours, and excursions mentioned in the itinerary will be provided in an air-conditioned vehicle.
  • All road taxes, parking fees, fuel charges, and interstate taxes.
  • One jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park.
  • Arunachal Inner Line Permit.
  • English-speaking representative at arrival/departure airport transfers in Guwahati.
  • GST 5%.

  • Visa fees (for international tourists) & Insurance fees.
  • Expenses of a personal nature, like tipping, laundry, and telephone/fax calls, alcoholic beverages, camera/video camera fee at monuments, medical expenses, airport departure tax, etc.

  • Monument entrance fees to all the monuments listed in the above itinerary (Approx. ₹ 1800 per person & child below 6 years are free)

  • Boat Ride Charges - Boat ride in Umiam Lake (Supplement will be ₹ 500 per person), Boat ride in the Umngot river (Supplement will be ₹ 500 per person), Boat ride in the Brahmaputra River (Supplement will be ₹ 950 per person and subject to operation)
  • Services of English-speaking guides during sightseeing.
  • Transportation shall be provided as per the itinerary and will not be at your disposal. Therefore, no transport on the days of Leisure.

Meals:

  • All breakfasts are included from the start to the end of your tour as outlined in the itinerary.
  • For lunches, we prefer to take you to authentic and high-quality local restaurants where you can pay directly for your meal.
  • Meals are generally served in restaurants, though packed meals may be provided occasionally for convenience.
  • At religious sites, only vegetarian meals will be offered. At other locations, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options will be available.

Travel Requirements:

  • All guests must adhere to travel requirements such as RT-PCR tests, vaccination certificates, web check-in, and other formalities as mandated by the state or country. Any associated costs are the responsibility of the guests.

Airline Information:

  • For our group tours, Immersive Trips selects the most accommodating airlines for smooth travel.
  • Group tours are booked in economy class. If you prefer Premium Economy, Business Class, or First Class, we can arrange this for an additional fee, subject to availability.
  • Refreshments and meals are provided according to the airline’s policy. We recommend bringing some dry snacks for added comfort.

Transport Details:

  • We use small cars, Tempo Travellers, or coaches for transfers, sightseeing, and intercity travel, depending on the group size.
  • In coaches, seats 1 & 2 are reserved for the Immersive Tour Manager and Guides.
  • Small cars typically accommodate 4-6 guests, with seating assigned on a rotating basis.
  • Private vehicles or upgrades can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to availability.

Sightseeing & Experiences:

  • Attractions may occasionally be closed without prior notice due to current conditions. If access is restricted, we will try to visit alternative sites or provide a refund for entry fees where possible.
  • Hotel Information: We choose comfortable 3-star hotels with positive guest feedback. You are welcome to review these hotels before confirming your tour.
